Almost all our clients and angler friends from Singapore, fish with some of the finest tackle available in the market. Clarence apart from organizing this trip for his friends also ensured that they carried excellent tackle with them. Our big GTs here in the Andamans got Clarence rethinking his line choice though! Even he lost count of the number of times his line burst.

This group fished hard for six days in the heat and really earned their fish with some relentless casting, especially from Rainer Chong. They brought in a lot of fish while jigging. Russel was in for a surprise while jigging when a large GT decided to eat the fish he was trying to land. After a hard fight the beast fish was landed and came in close to the 40 kilo mark. These big GT have voracious appetites and when they decide to hit your lure, you better be prepared.

Thomas Tan was the newbie in the group and put in a lot of effort casting and jigging. By the end of the trip he was fishing like a pro. Pencil poppers seemed to be a favourite of this trip and the group decided to give the Hammerhead Toby a new nick name: Banana!

Clarence’s nightmare with line bursts continued … One afternoon on his first cast after lunch a big GT slammed his popper as it hit the water. Among the big GT that were landed their catch also included decent size Yellowfin and Dogtooth Tuna and an equal number of fish managed to get away. On the final day of their trip, the team landed more than 25 GT, 14 Job fish, 1 Red Snapper and a nice 50 kilo Sailfish while trolling.
