Assad and two of his friends from Israel were joined by Danny from the U.K. to form a group of four anglers, fishing in Kirinda, Sri Lanka in November 2015. The guys faced a variety of weather and sea conditions on their trip ranging from totally calm flat and hot conditions to howling winds and big seas. The strong winds we had on most of the days meant jigging was made very difficult so we only managed one session on the deeper reefs where we landed yellow dot Trevally, Grouper and a few Bluefin Trevally.
We had monster fish smash the lures almost every day of the trip including the biggest hit I have seen so far in my time in Sri Lanka but we only managed to convert two of them. Hamad took the biggest fish with a beaut in 30 to 35 kilo range and Assad with a 25 to 30 kilo fish.

Lures that stood out were the Hammer Head E and G cup and the Hammerhead Shakure.

The Daiwa Saltiga Stickbait also produced multiple species with the Spanish Mackerel in particular taking a liking to it.
